Nature and Forest Therapy                                                        Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to "forest bathing". Since the 1980's scientists in Japan started experimenting with the effect spending time in a natural environment has on the physical body. They discovered and documented amazing health benefits from lowered blood pressure and pulse rate, to decreased levels of the stress hormone Cortisol, and an increase in the amount of NK cells in the body. Since that time Nature and Forest Therapy has also been shown to boost the immune system, aid in relaxation, increase creativity, and facilitate problem solving.

A Nature Immersion Experience helps you to focus on the present moment using all of your senses. As your guide I open the door for you to create your own personal connection to the natural world. Using prompts called Invitations, we will explore our beautiful surroundings on a slow paced, mindful journey. Invitations facilitate deep relaxation and stress reduction by unplugging from the material world, letting go of mind chatter, and recharging our energies

Please bring water, something to sit on, (like a jacket or camp chair), insect repellant, sunscreen, an open mind, and a desire to relax.

Rekindling our Nature Connection

Spirit Gardens is a unique look at gardening through the eyes of a Master Feng Shui teacher and consultant. A gardener since youth with a degree in Commercial Floriculture, Minnie lovingly weaves the art of placement with the practical tasks of gardening. This book shares personal stories of working with the profound energies of place and about the spiritual connection and relationship a gardener develops with the land they are
working on. It will appeal to the gardener who has just begun a
